Seven nights a week, local bands take the stage at Montreal’s hottest Jazz bar and bistro. Modavie’s spirited setting encompasses two intimate floors and sets the scene for a night of great tunes, top dining and generous pastis toasting. The bistro’s far-reaching wine menu hits just the right notes and helps round off succulent lamb, fish, beef and inspired pasta dishes.
Contemporary flavours on old St. Paul Street—it’s refined, French-inspired and market-fresh. The intimate ambiance, accented by a working fireplace and impressive glass wine cellar, is a fixture in Hôtel Nelligan, Montreal’s most chic getaway. Just a few paces from the restaurant, Verses Bar—an atrium that serves as Hôtel Nelligan’s stunning centerpiece—rises four stories amid fountains, vegetation and beautiful brickwork. Guests and locals savour fantastic brunches, afternoon bites or pre-dinner cocktails in the elegant surroundings. Verses is also group friendly, with a private banquet room that can be divided into two distinct sections. It accommodates any function, from profitable corporate.
Overlooking the Saint-Lawrence River, Taverne Gaspar is conveniently located on de la Commune street, right next to the Auberge du Vieux-Port. The Chef offers accessible and comforting cuisine inspired by British Gastro Pubs with French and Quebecois accents. Local beers on tap will be featured, including the Gaspar house beer. In addition, classic and creative cocktails, a wide selection of spirits, and a carefully selected wine list, are offered.
More than a restaurant, Vieux-Port Steakhouse is an institution. All its beef is AAA Canadian Certified and aged for at least 30 days. Inside, hungry Montrealers are greeted by old stone walls, wood floors, cozy fireplaces and an attentive staff. Every Sunday between 10:00am and 3:00pm, we host an extravagant brunch buffet with five stations of assorted delicacies. With a capacity of up to 1 000, four celestial banquet spaces and one of the nicest terraces in Old Montreal, it’s the ideal venue for groups, weddings and other social gatherings.
