FEI Canada, its 12 chapters and our Canadian Financial Executives Research Foundation (CFERF) are committed to respecting and protecting your personal information and privacy. Our website, www.feicanada.org, is divided into two sections: one that is available to all and one that is accessible to members only. Information on our 12 chapters and CFERF is shared through FEI Canada’s website.
CFERF research studies are available to members and non-members after logging in with your ID and password. New non-members need to login to request an ID before they can have access to CFERF research studies and also need to provide their consent to their communication preferences.
There are a few instances where we do collect personal information. For instance, current members are asked to update their personal information and communication preferences when they renew their membership or update their profile. New members are being asked to complete a membership application where we collect information that helps us determine if they qualify. They are also asked to provide us with their communication preferences. Non-members who would like to attend an event, subscribe to a newsletter or receive thought leadership information also need to provide us with their communication preferences.
FEI Canada, its 12 chapters and CFERF do not disclose credit card account information provided by its members and non-members. When members and non-members choose to pay with their credit cards, the credit card information captured to initiate the payment is sent to a secured clearinghouse. We do not store credit card information in our database or provide or sell credit card or other personally identifiable information to third parties.
If members have elected to receive thought leadership information, FEI Canada and CFERF, on occasions, do share contact information with third party publishers for the purpose of being able to mail or email this information. FEI Canada and CFERF also use the services of a mailing house to package and send mail by Canada Post to our members and non-members. In all circumstances, our contract with these third party publishers or mailing houses addresses the privacy protection of our members and non-members.
Both members and non-members can update their profile and communication preferences on our website in the members’ only section or the non-member profile update section. They can also unsubscribe from receiving emails. Members can opt-out from having their information published in the membership directory. We share attendance lists with members and non-members attending our events. These lists exclude personal coordinates of attendees (physical address, phone number and email address) and coordinates of members that have elected to be excluded from the membership directory.
Our web site contains links to other web sites. FEI Canada has no control over and is not responsible for the privacy policies or content of other sites.
